Charminar, Hyderabad Tourist Place

It is believed that Hyderabad was developed around this monument later. Charminar was built in the Qutub Shahi period. The monument was built by Quli Qutub Shah in 1591. The largest historical mosque in the south, located near charminar, it was built by the sixth Qutb Shahi King in 1614 and finishing touches added by the Mughal King Aurangazeb. The beautiful mosque can accommodate at the time, nearly 10,000 people for offering prayers. Legend has it that some bricks brought from Mecca were used in the construction of the central arch of this mosque.

Mecca Masjid is said to be one of the most beautiful and largest Mosques of India. Mecca Masjid can accommodate around 10,000 worshippers at one time. Not only muslims, but people from all the faiths visit this place of historical importance for its beautiful architecture. Mecca Masjid is situated 100 meters away from Charminar.
